Online Indian Rummy Rules
Fundamentals
- Traditional 13 cards rummy is generally played with 2 or more standard decks that contains 52 cards each and a printed joker on each set by 2 to 6 players.
- Deck is a pack of 53 cards (including printed joker )
- Every deck consists of 4 suits : Hearts ( ♥ ), Spades ( ♠ ), Diamonds ( ♦ ) and Clubs ( ♣ )
- Each suit contains 13 cards.
- These 13 cards rank from A, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, J, Q, K
- A card is drawn at the beginning of each game to be a joker apart from the printed joker.
- Objective of the game is to arrange the dealt cards in sequences and/or sets
- Sequence is 3 or more cards of the same suit that are arranged with the consecutive numbers. Ex: 6♣ 7♣ 8♣
- Pure Sequence : cards forming sequence without using joker.
- Impure sequence is a sequence formed using a joker
- Set is a 3 or more cards with different suits but of the same face value. Ex: 6♣ 6♥ 6♦ 6♠
- A toss decides which player has to make the first move.
- Each player has to be dealt 13 cards randomly.
- The player has to move within the allotted time.
- Player has to declare the cards only on his/her turn.
- Player has to meld the cards within the allotted time.
- If the melds are proper, he/she scores – 0 points.
- If the melds are improper, he/she scores 80 points.
- The player who reaches the targeted score ( 101/201 )will get eliminated from the table respectively.
Rummy Tournaments Rules
The tournament objective is to finish all the levels and win the grand prize.
- Player need to choose the tourney type and level.
- The account of the player will be debited with the buy-in amount based on the type of tournament and the level he/she joins.
- The game is played for 101 points.
- The game starts only when the table is full.
- Each player has to be dealt 13 cards.
- Every player has to take turns in the alloted time to form sequences and/or sets
- Each level win gives the next level ticket.
- A player can play each level any number of times.
- Player can rejoin the table with the buy-in amount or a level ticket.
- Split features is not applicable.
Points Rummy Rules
Points rummy otherwise strikes rummy or stakes is a favorite variant of Indian rummy.
- The game will have a pre-decided coin-value.
- 2 standard decks is needed.
- 2 to 6 players can play this game.
- A player need to bring minimum amount to the table.
- Every player is dealt 13 cards.
- The objective is to form sequences and/or sets.
- The points of the opponents are scored at the end of each game.
- Winnings = (Sum of points of all opponents) X (Rupee-value of the point) – Rake (15%) on total winning amount.
